Poll results: academy potential on the transfer market
Thanks to everyone who voted and commented! The discussion was really thoughtful, and it shaped the final decision. Sorry this summary took a while. It overlapped with my business trip and the cheating issues, which had to come first.
Results (121 votes total)
- Let the buyer run their own “send for tests”: 36%
- Show it only if the owner revealed it: 28%
- Hide it always: 25%
- Always show it to everyone: 12%
The decision is now live!
After weighing your votes and comments, I went with buyer-run tests, plus one extra tool:
- FEATURE Buyers can now reveal a transfer-listed player’s potential for 25k ("Send for tests" button visible in bid window)
- FEATURE You can share a player’s training history in chat, with accuracy guaranteed by BasketVibe (was already announced)
Potential stays hidden by default, so scouting and gut feeling still matter. Anyone who wants certainty can now get it at a price, and sellers can back up their claims with verified training data. I believe this keeps prices more under control and makes the market fairer for everyone.
Several of you suggested a higher test cost or daily limits for market players. I’ll keep an eye on how it’s used and adjust if needed.
For now this change applies only for players on the transfer market.
