Player sizing refresh & tactics upgrades
We have shipped two updates that affect how you scout youth players and how you set up match tactics.
Height and weight
Player size now follows clearer, position-aware rules:
- Academy scouts (ages 16–20) are rolled in height bands that depend on their position and age. Younger prospects start shorter; older scouts are already close to full-grown size.
- When you sign a junior, they keep growing through their teens. Each season rollover while they are 21 or younger, height and weight can tick up — sometimes a little, sometimes more in a growth spurt — until they reach adult size for their role. Growth stops at age 22.
- Weight follows height and a position body-build roll — guards leaner, bigs heavier — with realistic kg limits per role.
- Veterans on world rosters use adult height bands per position (NBA-calibrated ranges), with most draws clustering near the middle of each band rather than at the extremes. Height and weight still matter in games: rebounds, paint play, and finishing through contact all respond to size. Want the full tables? Open How to play in the menu and read Junior academy → Height and weight — signing ranges by age, adult ceilings, and growth rules are all listed there.
Tactics screen
The Directives table on Club → Tactics has been reworked to make lineup planning faster:
- Skills / Stats toggle — switch the metric columns between skill ratings and season averages (PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK), plus form and fatigue.
- Quarter filters (Q1–Q4) — focus the table on one quarter’s five-man group; other rows stay visible but blank below.
- Position filters — tap a PG / SG / SF / PF / C badge to pin that position to the top of the list.
- Drag position badges onto a player’s quarter cell to assign their court role for that period (same five slots as the lineup above the table).
- Sortable columns — click headers to sort by position, quarter role, skills, or stats.
- Lineup status — each quarter column header still shows whether that quarter’s five is complete and legal; the quarter filter buttons above the table are now label-only for a cleaner look.
- Skill heatmap — the coloring toggle is available in the directives toolbar, same idea as on your squad roster.
No action required on your side — open Tactics before your next match to try the new layout. Thanks for playing BasketVibe. Good luck this week.
