⚠️ [Important] ⚠️ BasketVibe goes alpha after Season 2 - game reset ahead
This announcement is aimed mainly at managers who aren't active on our Discord — if you are, you've likely already seen it, since it followed several weeks of discussion there.
At the end of Season 2, BasketVibe is leaving beta. It's a milestone reached through two seasons of real competition, feedback, and bug reports from all of you — and it comes with one significant, one-time change: a full reset of game data.
Why
Season 1 surfaced a few systemic issues: player generation that produced results well outside intended ranges, a broken league schedule that cost some teams gate income, and a sponsor payment issues affecting lower-tier clubs. Together, these compounded into a growing team strength and financial gap between clubs that had nothing to do with manager skill. After discussing the situation with active managers — including a vote on how to proceed — I decided a full reset is the right way forward. Repairing the existing data instead could not have guaranteed a fair outcome for everyone.
What changes
- All rosters, finances, and league standings reset to an equal starting point for every club.
- Bot-controlled teams are being removed from the higher leagues, replaced by promoted human-run clubs — more of your matches will be against real managers.
- If you created your account before this announcement, you've already received a permanent Founding Manager badge on your profile and your username. It's also present in the Hall of Fame founding managers section. Thank you all for your support!
- This is the only reset BasketVibe will ever have. From here on, progress is permanent.
Once things settle, our next priority is national team competitions — more on that soon.
